Pursuant to Board Policy 3312 and California Education Code, all contracts and agreements must be approved and ratified by the Board of Education. The agreements are listed in the attachment section below and apply to the following Bond Program projects: - Sierra Asphalt, Inc.- On March 17, 2020, sealed bids were opened for the repaving of the existing bike rack area at Willett Elementary School. Five sealed bids were received and Sierra Asphalt, Inc. was the lowest responsive bidder at $57,550. New bike racks were purchased through a combination of Willett PTA funds and Yolo County grant funds. The existing bike rack area paving is in poor condition and new paving is required to adequately install the new racks.
- Van Pelt Construction Services – for construction management services during pre-construction and construction phases for the Birch Lane Elementary School Multipurpose Room Project. The 2018 Facilities Master Plan allocated 5% of each project’s construction cost for construction management services. The proposed construction management fee of $481,481 represents approximately 4.6% of the estimated construction cost (in 2021 dollars) for the Birch Lane Elementary School Multipurpose Room Project.
- Wallace and Kuhl Associates for geotechnical engineering services required for the design of the Birch Lane Elementary School Multipurpose Room Project
- Wallace and Kuhl Associates for geotechnical engineering services required for the design of the Cèsar Chàvez Elementary School Multipurpose Room Project
- HMC Group for the sitework design to place the former DaVinci Junior High School Administration building at Birch Lane Elementary School. The building will be used for interim housing during the construction phase of the Birch Lane Elementary School Multipurpose Room Project.
- HMC Group for the development of design standards for all Bond Program projects. This work will result in the identification of DJUSD standard fixtures and components to be utilized by all project architects. The use of a district standards document will help ensure consistent and effective fixtures and components resulting in cost efficiencies, extended system lifecycles, and more efficient maintenance and operation of installed systems.
